Good Vibrations Siren Silicone Dildo

Overview: Lately I have been interested in harness compatible dildos, ever since I got my Theo harness by Spare Parts. The Siren dildo appealed to be because it is silicone, harness compatible, a good circumference without being too much or too little and an added bonus is that it is purple.

Packaging for the Siren is simple and to the point with easily identified symbols and details on the back. It consists of an outer plastic sleeve, inner cardboard sleeve and moulded plastic which securely holds the dildo.

Siren has a circumference which is perfect for me, not too much that I feel stretched but not too little that I feel disappointed. It is a slight 'c' shape which curves at the end for maximum g-spot and p-spot pleasure. The silicone is smooth without any raised seems, it quickly warms to your body temperature. Although it attracts fluff and dust easily. It is harness compatible too.

I haven't used the Siren to stimulate the p-spot but I have used it to stimulate the g-spot. It does work and very well but needs to adjusting to hit just the right place, it doesn't just stimulate it straight off. This is helped by it's flexibility, it's enough that it curves and moves with your body but firm enough that it isn't limp and unable to be used.

Flexibility, goes back to original shape

This can be used solo, though it takes some work to get the right angle. Or it can be used as a couple in two ways, either as it is or with a harness. It works well with a harness due to it's combination of flexible but firm.
As the base is flat in can be used on a smooth flat surface for a ridden effect or the base provides extra grip when used solo or with a partner.

To clean the siren wash in warm water with mild soap and leave to dry afterwards. For an extra peace of mind using a squirt of toy cleaner and wipe off. The siren needs to be stored separately from other toys, especially silicone ones. This can be either in a storage bag, which unfortunately is not included, or a see through zip-lock or sandwich bag.

Conclusion: The siren is a good quality silicone dildo which is a mixture of firm yet flexible. It is easy to clean and harness compatible. The only improvement is the inclusion of a storage bag.

Doc Johnson Reflections Shimmer Glass Wand

Overview: Reflections by Doc Johnson is a series of glass wands that have a silver coating which make them look like metal. There are different shapes, styles and colours available, some are dildos and some are vibrators, all of them give a twist to typical glass toys. The reflection range slogan is 'the art of glass meets the science of pleasure'.

Outer packaging

The packaging for the reflections range is a plastic box with a plastic sleeve which holds the Shimmer. The outside of the box is decorated with an almost funky theme, this is carried on throughout the reflections range.

The Shimmer is as you would expect, it shimmers as does it literally reflect any light. Due to the mirrored effect I first thought the reflections were metal, they don't look anything like most of the glass toys on the market. Reflections is set apart from the rest because of this, they are easily recognisable.

Plastic sleeve

The Shimmer has a wave effect shape, this gives a whole new feeling to a smooth glass wand. It has about the same weight as a glass toy, perhaps a bit lighter, it's certainly not as heavy as metal. This means there isn't as much strain on your hands and wrists as there is with a heavier toy.
There is a secure cord around the end for extra convenience.

There are many great things about glass, it is hypo-allergenic, easy to clean/sterilise and the best bit is the temperature play. While it is not to all tastes I find that a cool dildo on a hot day is the most refreshing thing by far. To change the temperature to warmer you can put it in a sink of warm water, make sure it is not boiling, leave it in there for a few minutes and viola a warm dildo. This is extremely pleasurable on a cold night.

Shimmers and reflects

To cool the dildo down you can put it in a sink of cold water or put it in the fridge, please be aware that the later will produce some very cold results indeed. This isn't recommended for those new to temperature play as it can be a huge shock, cool it down slowly first.

The best way to use the wand is internally, it is great for thrusting or for holding still when using temperature play. Though the first one certainly provides a bumpy ride, a sensation which won't be liked by all.
I have only tried it out vaginally but I am sure it will be ok anally as long as you keep hold of the cord or you could face an embarrassing episode at A&E.

Conclusion: I really enjoyed using the Shimmer, it is great for temperature play, hypo-allergenic and due to the mirrored effect it really sets it apart from other glass toys. The only draw back is the steep price tag.

10-Function EZ-Bend™ - Triple Tease™ Rabbit Vibrator

Cal Exotics offer a wide array of toys to suit almost every taste and budget. This month the 10-Function EZ-Bend™ - Triple Tease™ Rabbit Vibrator was sent to me.

Packaging

Packaging - Like most Cal Exotic products, the triple tease rabbit comes in a simple plastic wallet with a sleeve detailing the functions and features. It is pretty cringe-free, however not the type of packaging for a gift that's for sure. As the material used is plastic it makes for easy recycling. There is a warning on the packaging about the rabbit being a novelty toy only, however this is placed on all Cal Exotic products so they can market wider.

Appearance and Materials - The triple tease rabbit is pretty rabbit that's features set it apart from the crowd.
Firstly, although the "shaft" shape is basically phallic, there is no obvious head shape. This could help the triple tease rabbit appeal to a wider market. Along the "shaft" are raised thin swirling design to add to the pleasure.
The second different feature is the rabbit part. Most clitoral rabbit bullet have simple two ears which vibrate and then a standard rabbit shape. This one has almost three ears, either that or a very long nose. It is certainly a different feature.

Triple Tease Rabbit

The third feature is that the "shaft" is flexible, you can bend it in all manner of ways and best of all it holds it's shape.
The triple tease rabbit I received is pink which is slightly see through as it is made from phthalates free PVC. There is a odour to the material, not as bad as some but it isn't odourless either. Another problem is that material seems to attract a lot of fluff and dust which means you have to wash it before and after you use it.

Flexibility and it holds it shape

Controls/Functions/Volume - The triple tease rabbit is powered by three AAA batteries, these are not included so you will need to make sure you have some or order some when you order this. The battery compartment is at the base of the rabbit and is made from plastic. It is very easy to get to and change the batteries, though knowing which way up they need to be is guess work, I followed the signs inside the battery compartment but this didn't work, through trial and error I got the batteries in right.
The controls are located at the base of the battery compartment, there are two buttons, one button on/off and the other is functions, both buttons are made from silicone.
The on/off button is used to turn the rabbit on and off, though it also acts as a cut off switch - no matter where you are in the patterns when you press this it will instantly turn the vibrations off. A brilliant feature if you need to turn it off quick.
There are two motors inside the triple tease rabbit, these are located inside the rabbit and three quarters of the way up the "shaft". The vibrations travel well along the whole of the vibrator and even up to the to tip of the rabbit.
The rabbit features ten functions of vibrations, patterns and escalations, something for almost everyone.
The rabbit isn't the stealthiest of toys, especially on the higher settings. You can hear it in the next room with the door closed but not on a different floor. If you put on some medium to loud music it does cover the noise and all you can hear is a low hum.

Experience - I have used a flexible rabbit vibrator before which I enjoyed as I was able to position the "shaft" where I wanted it. Normally standard rabbits don't do much for me as I am unable to hit my g-spot and my clitoris at the same time, however, flexible vibrators allow me to do just that. The vibrator I used in the past was good that it was flexible but the functions didn't completely satisfy me. This flexible rabbit however has changed that, there are so many great functions and for a battery powered toy it actually has a good amount of power.

Care and Maintance - The rabbit is water-proof by a seal around the battery compartment so you have to make sure this is done up very tight unless water will get in and ruin your rabbit.
Water-proof vibrators are always a plus in my book, not only do you get to add water into the mix, which is very fun, it also makes cleaning very easy. To clean simply wash in mild soap and warm water, then pat dry. For extra security squirt with toy cleaner and put away. It is recommended you keep all your toys separate due to materials melting together, you can either keep your toys in your packaging, though this will take up valuable space. Alternatively you can keep them in satin or velvet bags or for an inexpensive solution use sandwich bags.

Conclusion - This won't replace your Lelo or Zini but it may just replace your standard Jessica Rabbit. I enjoyed using this and it did stimulate the g-spot as well as the clitoris.

These controller and attachments all work together to a series of different sensations no matter which ones you choose. All of the attachments need a controller to work.

Packaging for starter set

Being a fan of technological sex toys this set really appealed to me, though it seemed expensive for what is what, especially when you take into account the attachments too. It wasn't until the predator wand was on sale at such a great price that I couldn't resist it and of course needed this set too.
There are two parts to the starter set, the controller and the bach rotor, which is basically the egg.

Packaging for the starter set has an feel of actual toys and technology rather than sex toys. Just looking at the outer packaging you wouldn't know what was inside if it wasn't for the window that is. The packaging can be easily recycled or used to store your starter set.

Controller & Bach

Using the controller is simple, the attachments all small usb connections. There is an on, off and lock switch on the side and then the main controls and on the centre. The left/right controls which pattern you are on and the up/down controls which speed you are on.
There are 50 different functions to the controller which consist of patterns, speeds and a turbo boost. While 50 sounds like a lot and it is, there aren't 50 different separate settings, here are the functions:
7 patterns, 7 speeds and a turbo boost. Of each pattern there are 7 different speeds of vibrations within those patterns. Ever had it when you have found your favourite pattern but there just wasn't enough power? Or it was too powerful? Not with this one, you can change each pattern to your tastes and if there still isn't enough power then use the turbo button. I assure you, it isn't called turbo for nothing, it rivals some of the magic wands speeds, not the highest but certainly the bottom to middle. It is easiest the most powerful battery powered vibrator I own.

USB connection at the top

So you know which pattern and then speed you are on there is a small led on which ones. One set is the pattern, the other is the speed, I can't remember which is which.

The R-1 controller and attachments by Rends are so versatile, there is almost every type of toy you can think of and then some! The controller and bach rotor is primarily a external toy, I haven't used it internally so I cannot comment on how that would be.
Externally however, it can be used so many ways, for tease, pleasure or an quickie orgasm. You can use it on the clitoris, breasts, neck, back, legs, testicles, penis, perineum... anywhere you can think of!

Controller with LED, patterns

To clean, simply wipe over the controller and egg with a damp cloth, making sure to avoid the usb connections and the battery.

Conclusion: The R-1 set is one of my favourite toys, it is versatile in so many ways. I would go as far as saying that the series could easily cover every toy type you can imagine. There are enough patterns and speeds to keep you entertained for hours and once you start adding attachments too, well you may have to send out a notice, stock up on batteries and spend a week in your bed!

The packaging was simple and cringe-free. It came in a cardboard box, though this had been squashed. Inside, the string was in a clear plastic bag. As the box was cardboard it was easily recycled. The bag could be kept if so desired.

The string looks even better in person that in the product photo. It has a real feel of class, from the design on the front to the heart on the back. It is very comfortable to wear even though it is a one size. Often I find with one sizes that if you are at the lower or higher end of the clothes scale it doesn't fit well. Not this one, I am a size 12-14 and this fits so well. It can be worn all day it's that comfortable and there is no hang at the crotch either.

Front (black)

Wearing it in the bedroom makes you feel sexier. Wearing it out, you feel sexy hiding a string under your jeans.

Washing is simple - hand wash and hang to dry. You can't machine wash, tumble dry or iron it or you may end up with undies to fit Barbie.

Conclusion: A comfortable and classy string that is perfect for the bedroom and to wear out. One of my favourite strings.

Orgasm Gel with packaging

The Durex packaging is cringe-free, always a plus, however the box is far too big for such a small bottle. On the upside, its all easily recyclable. I knew the bottle would be small but I wasn't expecting it to be quite so small, the thing is tiny, especially not retailing at £15. Perhaps the bigger than needed box is a advertising technique to kid you that for £15 you will get a bigger bottle.
The amount needed is thankfully like the bottle size, small. If it was a large amount you would be through the bottle in a day. The effectiveness of the gel is not immediately apparent but after a few minutes you can really tell the difference, combine it with your favourite vibrator and you will be clawing up the walls in excitement! The effects weren't so apparent on the OH, he said that it felt nice but didn't do a great deal for him.

Conclusion: A good quality and effective orgasm gel but comes at a steep price for the amount you get.

Overview: I spotted this thong on sale and put it on my wishlist. My submissive Thoth was lovely enough to buy this and a couple of others for me.

Taking the thong out of the packaging, I was really taken aback and disappointed by the size and feel of this thong. Now I am slim but this just looks tiny. The material and look of the thong just says cheap and tacky.

When I tried the thong it just felt scratchy - and I had my own on. It does stretch a bit, but I couldn't see it fitting anyone more than a size 12, certainly not up to a 16.

I tried walking around the room and doing a bit of wiggly, seeing what it felt like, and the thong kept moving around. It wouldn't sit nicely on the hips like in the product photo.

The colours in the product photos seen very vibrant, I loved the colour of the red. However in reality the red is that red-orange colour and the black looks washed out.

Conclusion: I am really disappointed with this thong. It just feels very cheap, tacky, scratchy and generally unpleasant. Thanks to Lovehoney's great return policy, I am exchanging it for a nicer item.

Pure Large Vibrating Plug

Overview: I received this vibrating plug in an anal grab bag from Lovehoney. It is a bag of goodies which are selected randomly but at least twice the value of what was paid. Great if you like surprises and deals.

Packaging for the Pure plug is non-discreet but simple and to the point. Made from plastic and cardboard it can be easily recycled.

Vanilla/flesh Pure plug

The plug is smooth with no creases or join lines, this makes for easier and smoother insertion. There is no odour to this plug which is unexpected but good.
The base is a suction cup which can be used on surfaces which it'll stick to. I have only tried this in the shower in which it stuck well, you really need to pull it hard for it to come loose. You don't need to use this as a suction base, it works perfectly well when it is not stuck to something.

The motor is located at the base of the plug, attached is a wired controller. There is enough wire that you can press the buttons comfortably. It takes two batteries which are easy to insert and remove after use.
There are four speeds of vibrations which range from mild, to low, to moderate to high. The vibrations travel well throughout the plug but aren't as intense at the top of the plug. Unfortunately with the intensity of the vibrations comes increasing volume. While it isn't the loudest plug it can easily be heard throughout the house on the highest setting, music helps cover this but you can still hear a buzzy humming.

As the plug is large it does take some working up to first, I suggest using smaller plugs and then slowly increase the size. Don't over work yourself and go straight for a bigger plug such as this without working up to it, you could easily tear and bleed.
The plug really does create a full feeling inside, it is a very intense but pleasurable feeling. Although there are four speeds I felt like I needed a fifth or sixth to fully enjoy it.

To clean the plug just wipe over with a damp cloth as it is splash-proof rather than water-proof you can't submerse. When I used this plug in the shower I did so after the water had stopped running as it created a slight dampness which is better for the suction cup to grip onto.

Conclusion: The best thing going for this plug is the size if you like that sort of thing. I liked that the plug didn't have any odour and no joining seams. However the power just didn't seem to be enough to satisfy.

Packaging

The packaging for the Love Bunny is cute and gimmicky. There isn't really much you can do with it so I recycled mine. There is too much to store the bunny in.

The bunny takes 3 LR44 batteries which are included. They are already inside the bunny, all you have to do is remove the cardboard strip. The batteries are easy to change and remove when you have finished using your bunny.

The bunny is the perfect size to fit in your hand but not the perfect shape, far from it in fact. The bunny is about the most unergonomic shape going, there is no flexibility either. The Lovehoney websites states you can remove the bullet from the bunny, I tried this but failed, it just wouldn't come out. I am not sure if it was just mine or as I got this around 2 years ago it has been changed.

Shape of the bunnies and different colours

The bunny has only one speed which really isn't that good, the vibrations are spread throughout the toy. The vibration intensity is higher around the bullet itself but it still doesn't have enough oomph. This isn't good for someone who needs pinpointed vibrations on the clitoris.

The bunny is splash proof which means you can wipe it over with a damp cloth making sure you miss the bullet.

Conclusion: The Love Bunny from Lovehoney is a cute and gimmicky toy but thats as far as it goes. The vibrations from the bullet aren't strong at all and whatever strength is pretty much lost through the bunny. If you can remove the bullet then it is still very expensive for a bullet, there are much better ones out there for the price. The shape of the bunny means it doesn't sit against you, it just doesn't fit anywhere.

Overview: Bcurious by Bswish was always on my wishlist of my most wanted toys. I love clitoral vibes, especially those which are rechargeable. I had high hopes for it but they fell flat, the reality is that Bcurious doesn't live up to the hype.

There is a lot of hype for the Bcurious, on paper I can see why; it's silicone, rechargeable, different functions, ergonomic and feminine. Which is why even I was surprised when I didn't get on with it, let me explain why.

Packaging is as you would expect from a lower range luxury product, it's ok but it's not that nice and so I recycled mine. You can't really do anything with it apart from keep your Bcurious inside but that is what the bag which is included is for. I do keep some of the boxes and packaging from toys, Zini and Lelo boxes make for perfect places to keep the instructions/warranties and plugs/adapters.

Cheap packaging

Where as the Bcurious box is made from cardboard and plastic, thin ones at that. Kind of a let down for a toy I was lusting after for ages. It could make a gift but I would suggest putting it in a very nice gift box without the packaging.
Included is the charger, a bag and of course the Bcurious.

Bswish designed the Bcurious to be ergonomic, meaning it fits around the shape of your body. Not only does it fit nicely in the palm of your hand, it also fits nicely against your clitoris. This is certainly a great touch and some very good research. There are different ways to hold and position the Bcurious, this is great for different body parts and even different days. Sometimes I held it one way, sometimes another way. I had my preferences but it often depended on my mood.
The sloped pointed end is good for more concentrated vibrations.

Bcurious comes in two colours, white & pink and black & pink, I got the later. On websites it is often called fuchsia instead of pink, I was expecting a bright but feminine pink, however, it really isn't that bright. It doesn't stand out that much in person.

Bcurious colour and shape

Bcurious has 7 functions of vibrations, patterns and escalations. The first three are vibrations ranging from low, moderate to high. The rest are patterns and escalations. This is a very 'buzzy' vibrator, the vibrations are on the surface and it makes a buzzing sound, like a bee. Other vibrators are offer deeper, more rumbly vibrations, these are often the wands and the wahl. The wands are louder but offer a huge amount of power.
Other vibrators are buzzy but at moderate volume, these are toys from such companies as Zini and Lelo. You usually can't hear them in the next room over moderate music, even at the highest settings.
The problem with the Bcurious is that it has buzzy vibrations but louder volume. I don't know why it is loud, it is one of the loudest luxury vibrators I have used. My Zini vibrators are around 60-70dB which is a normal conversation. The Bcurious was 90dB on the highest setting, this is apparently a lawn mower. It didn't seem as loud as that but it certainly wasn't quiet.

The Bcurious does have a dedicated on/off switch which is very helpful when you live with others or need to turn it off quick. I think that all vibrators should have one of these, things would be much easier. It doesn't have a travel lock, which means that if you were to take it away with you then you would need to run the batteries completely down and then charge it when you get there, same coming back. Otherwise you could get some looks from people and customs if you are going abroad. It is enough of a 'massager' shape that you could get away with saying it is for that if anyone where to say anything. However, if it doesn't go off it shouldn't really be that noticeable. However, having to run it down completely and then charge it up is a pain at the best of times but for a weekend away it is a huge pain.

Whilst it is a massager shape and it is suggested that you could use it to relive muscle aches it really isn't effective. There isn't enough power in one of these to relax anything. For that I would suggest a magic wand which will leave you feeling like jelly and give you the best massage of your life!

Conclusion: I was really let down by the Bcurious, I loved the shape and femininity of it but in person it really doesn't have the functions to bring pleasure and even then it is serious outweighed by the noise. It is marketed as a lower range luxury vibrator, I didn't feel at all luxurious whilst using this, just frustrated. My suggestion would be either get a real luxury vibrator that has much lower volume and more functions or stick with a cheaper vibrator that is around the same functions but probably lower volume and at a lower price.

My Girlfriend Wants A Breast Augmentation, I Like Her The Way She Is, What Should I Do?

My girlfriend has always been against surgery but recently lost weight, mostly from her stomach and breasts. She is now an 8-10 but has dropped from a DD to a B/C cup size.
I have some money saved for the wedding but she wants to use it for this, she says she will look better in a dress.
I like her the way she is and tell her so, but she is unhappy, I just want her to be happy. What should I do?

Breasts are feminine and when someone has had larger breasts and then looses them they can feel much smaller and less feminine.
Your girlfriend is in proportion, before she lost weight she had a larger bust but now she is an 8-10 she is actually very much in proportion. Larger breasts on a small frame doesn't happen naturally very often and so usually look out of proportion.

Your girlfriend also needs to understand the risks involved, not all surgery goes without it's complications and if it does go wrong the consequence could be anything from obvious scar tissue, wonky breasts, desensitized nipples and even life threatening. This is not to say that these will happen but they could and it is best that she understands all the risks. She may not like her new breasts either, in that case it will be very costly and almost impossible to get back to the way they were.

As mentioned before, surgery is very costly, especially from surgeons which have positive feedback and are trained etc. It may be tempting to go cheaper and get a lesser well know surgeon but it really isn't worth the risk. Breast surgery costs around £4-6k, from that £8k you have saved there really won't be much change, especially with after care. You will probably either need to go on a tight budget or delay the wedding.

Once it is done, it will be extremely painful whilst healing. She will have to wear a special bra which she cannot take off, not even to sleep in. She will then have scars too which take time to fade and will still be tender for a time. Even once everything is healed she may experience hard or sore breasts and nipple numbness, these complications can last for weeks, years or may never go away. Breasts with implants also feel different and do not bounce or move in the same way.

In fact, she will probably have an easier time finding a dress with larger breasts when she is a size 8-10, a friend recently got married and she had the same trouble. In the end she had to settle for a larger dress and then pay to get it resized for her.

There are other ways to give the illusion of larger breasts, the most popular is padded, push-up or gel bras. These can increase your cup size from 1-2 sizes. Make sure to have several professional fittings and try on bras, a well fitting bra will feel comfortable and sexy. Whereas a badly fitted bra can make your breasts feel uncomfortable, your back painful and your breasts smaller.
The second is good posture, spine straight, chest forwards, shoulders rolled back and down. This will make your breasts appear bigger and perkier whilst making you appear taller and slimmer.

There is also the long term commitment involved, silicone implants need to be replaced every 10 years, to ensure that no damage to the breasts or the rest of the body. This will often be more expensive than the first time. Saline ones can rip, leak or even have bacteria growing inside. Some places try and suggest that silicone ones last forever, they don't. Often after 10-15 years they start leaking which itself has complications and make you very sick.

If you were planning on using that money for the wedding which is supposed to be about two people declaring their love for one another, how does that fair when she is more worried about how she looks in a dress for one day? This means that you won't have as much for the wedding, honeymoon, buying a house and starting a family. This means that you and your kids may suffer. Besides, if you are planning on having a family then often breasts will increase in size anyway.
There is also the chance of you splitting up, you will have paid for those implants but she will take them with her.

I am not saying that breast implants are all bad, but there are serious complications and side affects that need to be addressed.
Finally, the issue here is mostly due to here lack in confidence which may or may not go away with breast implants. If it doesn't stop, will she want liposuction, botox etc?
I think you both need to get to the bottom of why she is feeling like this.

The booty buddy arrives in cringe-free packaging, like all Lovehoney brand toys. It is always to the point and not to much either.

I ordered the purple booty buddy, it is a rich purple, not a blackcurrant colour like some products. As a lover of the colour purple I couldn't have been more pleased, however there is nothing not to like about the shade. The purple ones could easily be used by both men and women, as can the black.

The silicone is smooth and sleek, it gives the booty buddy a more pleasant feel than those made from jelly rubber, it is also easier to insert. The only draw back to the material is that it seems to attract fluff and dust, for that reason I would suggest keeping it in a bag or pouch. I have found that sandwich or zip lock bags work well, not only are the inexpensive but you can also see what toys you have where. This also keep the silicone based materials away from each other, this is because they can react and leave you with a sticky mess.

Size and shape of the Booty Buddy

The booty buddy is in an almost half 'C' shape, like the sort of shape you would imagine clinging onto a ledge. It is designed that shape to stimulate the perineum for men or the vagina wall through the anus if you are a woman.

Horus was unable to orgasm through stimulation from the booty buddy alone as it didn't stimulate his prostate, however, it did increase the intensity of his orgasms quite significantly. Though it wasn't as intense as when his prostate is stimulated.
Horus found it comfortable to wear for several hours, he reapplied lubricant every hour during that time.

Cleaning is easily as there is no electrical parts, simply wash in warm water and mild soap, then add a squirt of toy cleaner and wipe off. Store away from other silicone materials.

Conclusion: I didn't find the booty buddy comfortable at all, it just didn't feel right. However, Horus did find this comfortable even over several hours. It also increased the intensity of his orgasms.

Packaging

The Glider comes in a small cardboard box with photos and descriptions. Like all Cal Exotic products it is marketed as a 'massager' with a description saying for external use only. However, this is done so it can be marketed wider, it is safe to use internally.

The Glider is an usual vibrator in that it glows, most of mine don't and the ones that do just glow on the control panel, this glows all over.
The size and shape of the Glider is a standard classic vibrator, there isn't too much phallic detail either. It is small enough that it can be used by those new to sex toys or those who prefer a smaller girth. As it has just that I wouldn't recommend it to those who like a larger girth.

Packaging

The outer plastic is ABS and is transparent, this is so you can see the glowing easier. You can also see the wires and other innards of the glider.
Along the top half of the shaft there are numerous raised bumps made from the same ABS plastic. There are 32 in total, 16 on each side. They are included to create more stimulation especially when thrusting. I am not really able to feel these bumps unless I am using it on shallower parts. Sometimes due to the angle this results in feeling a bit uncomfortable due to the friction.

For a vibrator that runs on 2 x AA batteries the Glider does put out quite a bit of vibration power. It isn't going to replace your wands but it is more powerful than most standard bullets. It isn't the quietest or loudest vibrator either, the noise could be covered by a closed door and some moderate music.

LED Glider

The glowing is most apparent in a darkened room, however during the day or when lights are on it isn't as noticeable. Whilst the glowing function adds novelty value it can be quite distracting, whenever you are using it you can see the pink glow even with your eyes closed.
I haven't really used it enough to determine how quickly it uses batteries, however as it glows too I would presume faster than your standard vibrator.

The Glider is waterproof which makes cleaning easier, wash with warm water and mild soap then pat dry. Use a squirt of toy cleaner for extra peace of mind.

Conclusion: The Glider puts out a good amount of power and is a versatile size, however the glowing function is very distracting and pretty pointless. The raised bumps don't do anything for me, but may for others. I also find it to be a bit too 'pink', it seems the sort of thing that Barbie would have if she were real.

16th November - Toy Cleaning

Today I did my weekly and monthly sex toy deep clean.

Basically every time I use a toy I wipe it over and then squirt toy cleaner on it but as people are often around I don't often get to clean properly after each use.

So each week I get a deeper clean done on my most used toys and then each month I clean all of my toys thoroughly.

Washing with warm water and mild soap,

10% bleach solution to clean anything pure silicone,
I use a (different) tooth brush to get in all the grooves.

Hello all,

I know that my blog hasn't been updated lately and for that I am sorry, I will try and upload 7 reviews this week, that is my target at least.
A couple of days after my last post I got my period, I don't know about anyone else but I want to sit in pjs, wrapped in a blanket with a bowl of something sweet and growl/snarl at whatever is on tv. Sex is something that just doesn't happen.

The first thing you notice is the lack of complicated packaging, it comes in a simple plastic sleeve, something you can either use to keep it in whilst not in use or easily throw it away without any trouble.

Included in the plastic sleeve is a loyalty card and two stickers. Basically you can collect these stickers and receive a free spanker or two when you have collected a certain amount. To get a free spanker you need to collect 10 stickers or to get two free spanker's you need to collect 15. Each card has two free stickers already on it so you actually only need to collect 8 or 13.

Queen of Spades Paddle

The second thing is the quality of the paddle, the leather is thick but soft, supple and has the delicious aroma of leather. The border and spade part is very well stitched on, even over a year later there has been no fraying. They are both a dark pink, not in your face or anything, but classic and nice. There is a good amount of weight to the paddle which makes it even better to use.
The paddle is quite slim compared to other paddles, this gives it more of a sting with less force due to a slightly smaller surface area.
The paddle has a strap of leather around the handle which you can you to hang it up, it is pretty strong and will certainly hold it's weight.

The paddle is very easy to use, it provides a good amount of sting when you use it lightly and much more when you use it harder. To the point of being red or even slightly bruised, but you have to hit much harder. As there is a good amount of weight you feel like you can put more force behind it without breaking the paddle.

I don't have any dishes that are designed for special occasions. I don't think I would have either, just nicer ones that are for everyday use too.

The packaging is a cardboard box with the name of the toy and an image of it on the front, thankfully it isn't cringe-free or loads of it either. The box can be easily recycled as it is fine to store ABS plastic outside a plastic bag.

Packaging and other colour options

The i-Tap controller is smooth and sleek mine is in a feminine pink, this is attached by a wire to a small silver egg shaped bullet. There are no buttons or switches so there are no hash edges to scratch yourself on. It is ergonomic and very light enabling you to hold it at different angles and for longer periods of time. It could be used by people with different hand size and varying levels of wrist strength and mobility. There is a removable 'touch me' sticker where you need to press to change the functions, I kept this on as I have quite a collection that I could easily forget where to press.

Inserting the batteries is easy, simply take off the back, which isn't one of those annoying difficult ones, insert the batteries the right way up, which way is stated on the plastic, and the put the back on again.

The unique thing about this bullet is that it was designed to have no buttons or dials, simply a tap function, hence the name i-Tap bullet. This is part of what attracted me to this, it seemed smart. Problem with this is that it isn't very good. It is very temperamental and unresponsive, sometimes it seems to work perfectly, other times I can be 'tapping' or by that time smacking it and it doesn't change then suddenly flicks through like 5 and stops for a few seconds It is very comparable to touch screen phones or anything, I strongly dislike (read loathe) these as they just don't seem to work for me. Some people love them and cannot rave them highly enough where as some people simply cannot get on with them at all. Horus who is usually good with touch things couldn't not make the i-tap bullet work all of the time, slightly more than me, but still very frustrating at times. This leads me to think that it is the lack of responsiveness of the bullet rather than us, however as we are the only ones who have used it I cannot be sure. One thing we did find helped was to rest your thumb or finger lower down and tap the lower part of the touch me sticker, this seemed to work more than not but still not without glitches.

A side effect of the touch sensitive function is that you can't put it away without setting it off if the batteries are inside though this encourages you to take your batteries out after each use, something that ideally should be done anyway. The tap function certainly works when you are putting it away.

The functions, when they do work, are quite good, there are patterns and speeds. There are 5 functions in total, the first 2-3 are vibration intensity and the other 3-2 are patterns and pulsations. Tap it again and it turns it off. The volume is surprising and pleasantly quiet even on the higher settings. I would say that low volume music would cover it and moderate volume would easily cover it.

The iTap is a versatile bullet which could be used solo or as a couple and in many different ways, an example is for teasing or warming up. You can run the bullet over your or your partners' body, concentrating on such parts thighs, chest, breasts, nipples, neck, back, sides and stomach. The wire is a good enough length that you don't need to move the controller around too much.

You can use it with one hand or hands free if you position it in the right place, in addition to against your clitoris during sex if you get the right amount of pressure - too much and it digs in, not enough and it keeps slipping down.

It can be used externally on your clitoris or the rest of your body or internally in the vagina or anus. I have tried all of them, though I had one for anal play and one for the rest. I received one in a grab bag I purchased. All of these places each have their own feelings, no two feel alike, however they all feel good.

Conclusion: When this isn't being temperamental it is a very versatile and good powered bullet with a different and smart feature. This combined with low volume and speeds and patterns you have your self a good little bullet. It is when the touch function doesn't work is the problem.

The packaging is a plastic wallet with a sleeve insert, there is a naked woman making 'sex faces' on the front. Cringe-worthy and would certainly not make a good gift. There is way too much packaging for the vibrator and so it isn't a great idea to keep it in this when it is not in use. This was all quickly disposed (recycled).

Silicone G-spot Vibrator

The vibrator is designed for g-spot stimulation, the shape is basically straight until the tip which is curved. It is a red-orange colour with most of it being opaque apart from the twist base which is translucent. The material feels smooth to the touch but not silky like 100% medical grade silicone. Part of the shaft is nubbed for added sensations though this did nothing for me apart from act as a base.

The batteries are easy to insert, simply twist the base open, insert the batteries the right way up (it says on the plastic) and then twist the base back closed. Make sure the base is fully closed especially when using in water.

The power is good, not just in the base but the vibrations travel all up the shaft. Some vibrators don't which is especially annoying in g-spot vibrators where the vibrations are needed at the tip. The noise level isn't bad, certainly not whisper quiet but covered with moderate volume music.

The nubbed part is at the right length for my g-spot and the angle of the tip is good. I can reach orgasm without too much trouble but I feel like something is missing, perhaps more power and vibrations? The shaft is pretty thick too and so I had to use another toy to warm up. Some people might like the thickness of the shaft.

Clean up is easy as it is waterproof, just wash in warm water and mild soap. Then squirt with toy cleaner and wipe off. This also adds more to play time as you can use it in the shower, bath or any water.

Conclusion:
While this isn't a bad vibrator it isn't one of the best either, it is middle ground really. It doesn't make you say wow but it is a decent cheap vibrator and hits your g-spot.

Spartacus Leather Leash

Overview: Leather is one of my favourite materials for bondage. The aroma, look and feel makes me fall in love every time. I could easily spend my days smelling and caressing leather, it's easily one of my favourite smells.
My previous lead or leash was a heavy weight chain one with patent leather and spikes. It was very good quality just not to my taste. I was super excited when I saw that Eden Fantasies had a leather Spartacus lead or leash which was simple and functional. Spartacus is one of my favourite brands of bondage, you can always rely on them for great quality bondage which is built to actually use rather than as a novelty item.

Packaging

The packaging is as you would expect from Spartacus, completely cringe-free and simple. There are certainly no naked women or plastic sleeves. There is a perfect amount too, just enough to hold the leash or lead but no copious amounts of excess. On the back is a label with leather leash, the length, a code and a bar code - for inventory, that is all.

You cannot reuse the packaging to store the leash or lead inside when it is not in use but as it is leather it is perfectly fine to be kept with the rest of your leather bondage.

More packaging

The leash or lead doesn't look extremely bondage-like, in other words you could easily take your dog for a walk and no one would know the difference. This means that you can hide it in plain sight or at least until someone asks to walk the dog or even worse where your dog is.

Leather front and back

The leather is very supple, flexible, strong and with a leather aroma, perfect! Bondage needs to be strong when you are using it for more than novelty purposes, there is no point in capturing someone who can easily escape. To test the strength of the leash or lead I yanked on all parts, especially the weaker parts near the clip. I am pleased to say there was no rips, tears or stretching. This is certainly build to last.

Length

The leather on the back is almost fluffy, when you handle it you end up with small flakes on leather on your hand. This isn't too bad and the amount decreases significantly after several uses.

The length of the leash or lead is 48" or 4ft, this is an ideal length. Not too little that there isn't enough to work with and not too much that you are tripping over it.

The handle or loop is leather as well, it is simply part of the lead or leash that has been secured with a rivet further down it. This is extremely hard to explain and I am sure there are technical terms. The photos should make more sense.

The two rivets are located near the buckle and at the handle. They are both very secure and will hold up to a good amount of use. I have used this for medium to heavy bondage and they have no broken. It will not be able to hold the full weight of a person or anything but should last for years to come as long as it is cared for.

The buckle is strong to and very easy to attach to bondage collars with a d-clip.
When using collars on humans always make sure they are bondage collars - designed for humans and not collars from the pet shop.

Conclusion: This has become my favourite and only used collar. So much so that I gave the other one away as I knew I wasn't going to use it when I had this beautiful one.

Overview: This was something I found on sale at Lovehoney. I had been trying different anal toys out and this one was really cheap so I went for it.

The packaging is a simple small black box, cringe-free and not copious amounts. You could easily use it to store the plug whilst not in use or alternatively recycle it and not draw too much attention.

The plug is a green-blue sort of colour but washed out. It isn't particularly bad or good. For a jelly rubber toy this didn't smell too bad, certainly not as bad as some have.

Naughty Box Slimline Plug

One set of batteries are included so you can use the plug straight away, though you will need some more, these can easily be picked up from your local pound shop.

The plug is designed with beginners to anal in mind with a slim shaft and a flared base. To comfortably and safety insert you have to relax and use lots of anal lubricant. This should help it go in much easier. Although with lubricant the plug does get very slippery and so gripping it becomes very difficult. The plug doesn't stay in, it keeps coming out.

Inserting the batteries is easy, simply unscrew the base, insert the batteries and then screw the base back on.
The controls are located on the base as well, twist one way to increase the vibrations and then the other way to decrease and turn off.
The two biggest problems with this plug is the battery life and the motor controls over heating after seconds. New batteries last only around 5 minutes.

The material is very porous and cannot be sterilised. It will harbour more germs and bacteria than most other materials and so be extra careful when cleaning. It is not waterproof so you will have to clean with anti bacterial wipes. It contains phthalates and latex in addition to being a material that attracts fluff, dirt and dust.

Conclusion: This turned out to be another mistake, the whole thing is cheap and nasty. The batteries last only 5 minutes, the motor controls over heat after a matter of seconds and the plug won't stay in place.

This is the sort of diary of things that happen in my life. They may (read probably) be random, strange and not always sexy (though sometimes they will be).

This will perhaps help you get to know me a bit more and of course have a nosy in the world of Rose Rouge.

I will not post everyday as I may not have anything much to say alternatively I may only post a short amount.

Today - 26th October 11

Haven't had chance to sit down til now, it's been really hectic. This morning I helped out at a group and this afternoon I had an appointment. I cycled there and back to both places with just an hours gap between which I had some lunch in.

The best bit however is that I have got myself an old pirates style treasure chest, I really have a pleasure chest now. I got it on eBay for £10, it needs so work doing and is a little cracked on the base but it is solid. I have been wiping it over with lemon juice to try and get the smell of smoke out - the previous owners were smokers.
I have coated it with a stain and some linseed oil to help preserve the wood. It seems to have dulled the smell a lot and now only slightly smells of smoke.

I am airing it tonight and hopefully it will be all clear tomorrow so I can start adding my now smaller collection. A few days ago a couple of friends came round and I sent them home with big bags full of toys and lingerie that I didn't use or want. My collection is much more manageable now and I don't miss or regret anything that I gave away.

Let's Fool Around Sex Dice

Overview: These were on sale or deal or the day at Lovehoney and they seemed like fun so I grabbed them.

The packaging is cringe-free and there isn't copious amounts of it. The main problem is that you cannot reuse the packaging and so you have to find an alternative place to keep the dice. This could have been improved by including a small plastic container for the dice when they are not in use. As there is no they can be easily lost or misplaced, I have done several times but thankfully found them all again.

There are five dice, one is the main dice and the other four are player dice.
The main dice is the action dice, which has these "tickle", "lick", "stroke", "blow on", "kiss" and "suck" actions on it.
The other four dice are player or place dice, these list the parts of the body you need to use the action dice on. On these dice are "chest", "lips", "inner thighs", "back", "penis or clitoris" and "face".
The four place or player dice are all different distinctive colours; red, pink, coral and black.

To play the game each person (up to four) takes a place dice of their choice, the action dice is kept in the middle. You decide which player goes first and they then roll their place dice along with the action dice, the result should be something along the lines of "kiss lips" or "blow on penis or clitoris". The player then does the action on the corresponding body part. When they have finished it is the next persons go.

The problem is that the actions get very repetitive and they do not correspond well with the body part. For example I was getting things like "stroke lips" or "tickle face".

Conclusion: As far as sex dice go these are ok, I like that the dice are all different colours and the feel pretty well made. However, there are some let downs such as the repetitive nature of the game. I have played this a few times for around 5 minutes but quickly stopped afterwards as it got tiring and frustrating. The combinations at best weren't that sexy, they seemed to give a little but still leave you wanting much more.

Overview:
Durex Play lubricants are everywhere you look from television and billboards to your local supermarket. I applaud them for reaching out to so many places in a bid to create a fun and safe sexual experience. What I don't applaud however is the lack of choice there is for the average person who doesn't shop on-line. If they don't want Durex then they are generally stuffed! Now I am not saying that Durex is bad, however there are more skin safe and purer options out there.

Durex Play Sachets

The version of the Pina Colada lubricant I have is the sachets that came with the Durex sachet pack which comes with ten sachets of lubricants. There will be five different types of lubricants and two of each one.
The ones I received are exactly the ones in the picture, Pina Colada, Very Cherry, Tingle, Heat and 2in1 Massage.

Each one contains 5ml of lubricant in a sealed plastic sachet which you can then throw away when you have finished using them. These are one use only as there is no way to seal them back up when you have used a small amount so you will need to use it all up in one go. This is fine for the 2in1 massage or the lubricants during sex, however for flavours or sensations this can be a bit too much.

Durex Play Pina Colada

The Pina Colada is very very sweet and also silky, it tastes of chemical enhanced sharp taste pineapples, that is simply the only was I can describe it. For someone who likes pineapple this was a huge let down, real pineapples are sharp but have a natural sugar about them, this has a chemical taste about it. I used a small amount out of the sachet on Horus, licked some off the grimaced at the taste. He tried them too and pulled what I believe to be the same face. This is not a nice taste at all! We ended up throwing the rest (around 70%) of the sachet away and gave the other one to my friend to try. She said it was horrible too and she also likes pineapples. Horus doesn't like pineapples so it isn't simply if you like pineapples you won't like this.

Durex Pina Colada Bottle

The packaging for the sachet is very bright but cringe-free, however as everyone knows the brand Durex they will immediately know what it is. The bottle packaging is a bit more subdued and not as bright,
however everyone will still know what it is.

The other problem apart from the taste is the ingredients. Glycerine is a sugar derivative which when used around the genitals can lead to thrush. The rest of the ingredients seem pretty harmless to humans in the quantity found here.

Conclusion: Sex should be enjoyed in a safe and consensual manner and lubricants should be easily obtained. However, Durex don't produce the very organic or skin safe lubricants. They are only really safe for licking of general parts of the body, using them on genitals could lead to thrush. The other problem is the taste, it is sharp and chemically. Not at all pleasant. The sachet size however is very convenient for travel.

The packaging was the biggest let down of this product, it is cheap and flimsy. It really takes away from the more luxury look of the toy, seriously they may have well just thrown it in a plastic bag! It does sound harsh but when you are buying a more expensive toy then you expect nicer packaging. I realise that this isn't the most expensive of toys however Cal Exotics designed this range to be more luxury than standards ones.
On the side of the plastic packaging is a list of functions and the name in several different languages. This further adds to the disappointment of the packaging. This information would have been much better in a manual/leaflet or simply left out, it is pretty self explanatory. It seems to be on there simply to sell the product in shops, people can easily see what it does with just a quick read.

Another problem is that the plastic top won't stay shut, this isn't so much of a problem when I was going to recycle the packaging and keep the toy in a separate bag but it was extremely annoying for the time I kept it in the packaging until I had properly tested it.

On all of the Cal Exotics products I have used there is a warning at the bottom of the packaging. This basically says that it is a novelty product only and should not be inserted at all. However, I contacted them about this warning and it is safe to use the toy but it is so they can market it at a wider market. This warning further adds to the cheap feel of the packaging, you would never get this 'warning' on a real luxury brand toy.

When you take the seduction out of the outer packaging you are greeted with yet more cheap flimsy plastic. There is far too much plastic packaging and quite a lot of it is filled up with air! The inner box simply serves the purpose of holding the toy in place though this could have been done much more tastefully than this.
Good news is that it is easy to remove the toy from the packaging, you won't need any scissors or a hacksaw for that.

Now onto the positives of the toy, the shape and design. When I first saw this toy I thought it was anal plug vibrator, though I have not really fancied anal stimulation for a while so I thought I would use it as a g-spot vibrator. Now I am not sure which one it is technically designed to be used for and the packaging doesn't help. This is the problem with marketing toys as novelty products. I did have a look on Cal Exotics website but there wasn't any specific information on what it is designed for, it simply states for women - not shit Sherlock!
That being said, I don't think it actually matters whether you use it anally or vaginally, just not with the same toy in-case you pass fluids and matter from the anus to the vagina and get an infection.

For the point of the review, I have used the toy only vaginally, I cannot comment on how it would feel anally though I would presume that the shape and design would be very stimulating but I don't know for sure.

The toy looks almost like a luxury toy, more tasteful than their general toys that's for sure. The shape is similar to a standard dildo on a boat, I always thing of sailing and boating when I look at this. I have been tempted to float it about in the sink or bath!

Inserting the batteries wasn't the easiest of all tasks, it has the stupid small catch that you spend ages trying to open or at least I did. Then I gave it to Horus who seemed to open it first time!
It took me several attempts to work out which way round the batteries go, but the right way is shown in the picture. The other problem is taking the batteries out when you have finished, a practice I follow and highly recommend. With this toy I can't - one of the batteries, I can't remember which side won't come out. I have tried pretty much everything except pliers and a nuclear bomb to get it out. I haven't used pliers because I didn't want to damage the toy or the battery and cause it to leak.
Putting the case back on is relatively easy but did take several attempts to line it up, once it is on it slides into place. Funny thing about the case is that since Horus opened it I have been able to as well, not sure why, perhaps it was stiff?

Now onto the fun part, what does it actually feel like? Well in short, pretty good. I still say that it is boat shaped with the shaft being the sail but it certainly seems to work well. The shaft is angled slightly which allows for precise g-spot stimulation, though it does take some fiddling to get it in the right place. It doesn't seem to just fit there immediately. As the shaft is attached to a base (boat) then it seems to simply stay put. Hello hands free!
The base (boat) has lipped ends which I presume are supposed to heighten pleasure and stimulate other erogenous zones such as the clitoris. Unfortunately they fail, no matter what angle I use I cannot get stimulation on my g-spot and my clitoris, for that I needed to use another clitoral vibrator.

The length of the wire is pretty good, not too short that you are bent at angles but not too long that you can skip with it. It is attached securely to the base, I gave it a few tugs to be sure. Due to this I would say that it would be safe to use anally though I suggest that you give it a few hard tugs to make sure, and avoid an embarrassing trip to A&E.

The seduction controller is made from abs plastic, it has a very pretty swirl design on the front and seduction on the back. The controls are very simple, there is an on/off button and a function button. The buttons are what I would call real buttons, not touch sensitive here, you know you have pressed the button properly by a very faint click, I didn't have any trouble with pressing it too many times or the button not registering at first and then skipping lots. The on/off button is automatic, as soon as you press that it stops immediately which helps very much if you need to stop the vibrations quickly. It doesn't remember your last setting and so you will have to cycle through the functions again before you get to the one you were on. When it is turned on both buttons glow red, this is a great feature in the dark as you can easily see which one you are pressing.
This toy features 7 functions of vibrations, pulsations and escalations. The first three are vibrations which increase in intensity. The other four are pulsations and escalations, they are pretty standard but still good.
Another problem I have found with this is that the vibrations aren't particularly powerful, if you are like me and need powerful g-spot stimulation then this is quite a disappointment. The shape doesn't work at all for the clitoris so it is the g-spot or anal stimulation.
Good news is that the vibrations are very quiet, I was pleasantly surprised, you can't hear them in the next room with moderate volume music even when the vibrations at the most powerful.

The materials used are abs plastic for the controller and 'premium' silicone for the shaft and base (boat), it says premium silicone but I don't believe that it is 100% silicone, more of a silicone mix. I have come to that conclusion because it doesn't feel soft and silky like pure silicone. For more information on materials you can see my materials guide.

Cleaning is easy, I simply washed the shaft and base (boat) under the tap with mild soap and patted dry. I then squirted some toy cleaner and wiped off.
For the controller I wiped it over with a baby wipe. Although it states it is waterproof I am still very weary as it has a controller and wires, for this reason I treat it like it isn't waterproof but only splashproof.

Conclusion: The couture collection seems to be Cal Exotics way of trying to play with the big kids luxury brand toys, this it does fail in, it is not a patch on Lelo, Zini, Funfactory or many other luxury brands. What it does do is create a sort of middle ground of toy, one which is a bit more luxury than a cheap jelly vibrator but isn't as expensive (or good) as luxury brands. Bit like hotels really, half way between a filthy room and a luxury hotel with a hot tub in the bedroom.

Can women orgasm through penetration alone?

A question I received:

I am curious to know how easily other women reach orgasm purely through vaginal penetration. I have had a few men in my time and penetration feels good but I have never had orgasm via intercourse alone.

I can only come during sex if I stimulate my clitoris using a bullet. I do plenty of foreplay beforehand and get excited but can’t orgasm through sex. Is there something wrong with me or have I just had lousy lovers?

However, the design of the harness and straps mean that it won't sit against your clitoris unless you either hold it there or press it against it using a bed or other object.

Silicone toys and 100% silicone

Not all 'silicone' toys are 100% pure silicone, sometimes there are just components of silicone inside other materials such as rubber. This is done by manufacturers to make the product last longer. Silicone part toys cannot be treated the same and do not have the same properties as 100% silicone toys. 100% silicone toys are often refereed to as medical grade silicone, these are pure silicone only.
Manufacturers don't need to tell you that the materials used only contains part silicone, they can simply say silicone.
If you are looking for pure silicone toys then double check that is what it is unless it is stated. Reputable companies are happy and understand people wanting to check. To test it is pure silicone you can light a match under-neath it, silicone part toys cannot with stand this. You are now probably thinking that it isn't a good thing but not entirely sure why. I was the same, I didn't think it was good but didn't actually know what it was. Therefore I simply carried on choosing jelly rubber and other material toys as they were cheaper. Yes they had an odour but I was on a budget, besides what harm are phthalates anyway?!? I was very wrong and wished I had looked into it, budgets can be low but health is more important.

Now onto the interesting part, what are phthalates? They are otherwise know as a plasticizer which is used to make plastics softer and more elastic. They are very commonly used by many manufacturers and available at most adult toy stores.
There are actually around a lot more than you think, gym or sports halls have been treated with them, some cosmetics and even some childrens' toys. These present little or no risk to us as we are not in prolonged psychical contact with them. Also there are laws in place regulating the degree of what is placed in objects such as childrens' toys are so if there are any then they will nearly always be more sensitive ones. Unfortunately there are little or no such regulations in place and so manufactures are able to basically put what they want in materials. The easiest way to recognise something has been treated with phthalates is the odour, materials such as jelly rubber which contains phthalates have a very prominent and unpleasant smell. Phthalates can affect people in different ways, as I mentioned I feel queasy and start to go light headed whereas some people feel a slight to very painful burning sensation or chemical burn. On the other end of the scale some people are seemingly unaffected by them. Emphasis on the word seemingly.

These facts on phthalates may have been sensationalised like many things, as my research was done on the web I cannot guarantee complete facts. Some places say there is no chance of harm, whilst others say that it has a correlation towards cancer.

All I can say is if you are going light headed to having chemical burns then there must be something seriously wrong!

I highly recommend you recycle or dispose of your toys which contain phthalates and stick to a skin-safe material.

Information:

Latex is found and made in both a natural and a synthetic way. Naturally it is found is the milky white fluid found in 10% of flowering plants and trees. It is actually a defence mechanism against herbivorous creatures as many are allergic to it. That is why many humans are allergic to it also.

Synthetically it can be made by polymerizing a monomer such as styrene that has been emulsified with surfactants. Basically it is created from two oil-derivatives: styrene and butadiene.

Very elastic.
Commonly used for clothing and condoms.
Oils, grease, abrasives and solvents all destroy latex, don't use them.
Will melt when put near a naked flame or intense heat.
Will discolor and eventually perish when exposed to heat, sunlight and lights with a high UV content (no sun beds then)
Permanently stains when in contact with copper, brass or bronze.
Storage next to dyed clothing may stain the latex.

Clothing (latex)

Much easier to put on when the inside is dusted with cornstarch or cornflower, don't us any other substances as they can turn into paste when moistened.
Latex is easily torn, remove all jewellery before putting on the clothing.

Care and Maintenance (clothing)

Hand wash in lukewarm water after each use, don't use soap. When completely dry, dust the inside with cornstarch, polish the outside and store in a dry dark place.
You can polish latex and bring out it's brilliant shine by making sure all powder residue is removed from the outside, this can be done with a soft damp cloth. Using a silicone-based polish or lubricant, liberally spray the outside and wipe/buff gently with a dry soft cloth.
Using water-based lubricants will not damage latex but doesn't bring out the brilliant shine.

Latex is a very versatile material but be aware of the side effects, if you see any redness or rashes when you are using latex then stop immediately and change to a different material. If the problem persists then consult medical advise.

Sliquid Swirl Flavoured Lubricants

Overview: Sliquid was founded on the idea of lubricants free from sugars (glycerine) and presaratives (parabens), neither of which are found naturally in the body and which many women and men are sensitive to.

Before I found natural lubricants such as sliquid, I used brands such as Durex which are very common and easy to obtain. However, just because lubricants are well known, this doesn't mean that they are body safe or skin kind. Therefore, since finding natural and organic lubricants I never use anything that is not on mine or my partners pubic area. I do use them on the rest of their body to simply use them up, after they have all been used up I will stick to skin safe lubricants.

The flavours of Sliquid lubricants I have are Strawberry Pomegranate and Pink Lemonade. These have been later introduced, before the flavours range consided of only three flavours. It's is great there is more choice, especially such exicting and unusual flavours as strawberry pomegranate and pink lemonade.

Old packaging

Sliquid redesigned their packaging at the same time they introduced the new flavours and ranges, I much prefer the new packaging, it seems to suit the name more and looks more streamlined.
Many lubricants are too runny or too thick, neither of which are great, especially not for flavoured lubricants. The consistency is almost there but a little runny.
If the lubricant does start to dry up then you can add a small amount of water to moisten it up again. This is effective, however, I don't usually put that much on and then I lick it up straight away. This ability is much better used for intercourse lubricants, though you have to keep a glass of water handy.

These really are unusual flavours, which I had no previous experience of so I didn't really know what to expect. I have found other brands of flavoured lubricants to taste very artificial, so I presumed these would taste similar. However, although they taste slightly artificial, they do taste much milder and sweeter without being sickly unless in larger quantities.
The pink lemonade tastes lemons and pink grapefruit with just a little hint of fizz. It isn't an overwhelming taste but in larger quantities it does take sickly.
The strawberry pomegranate tastes of just that, though the strawberry is more of a prominent taste. The pomegranate gives it more of a sharp edge, though this seems to compliment the sweeter strawberry taste perfectly.
Both tastes are noticeable for all the right reasons and they add a new flavour to foreplay without stealing the show.

These are both water-based, non staining while being safe for toys and condoms.

Sliquid promise that their products are free of DEA, Gluten, Glycerine, Glycerol, Parabens, PEG, Propylene Gylcol, Sorbitol and Sulphates... and are always 100% Vegan friendly. All of which don't sound particularly appealing to be putting on very sensitive areas.

Conclusion: I am very pleased that I have tried these, they have become a firm favourite and earned their place in our lubricants draw. When my other lubricants run out I will start replacing them with either Sliquid or Lelo lubricants and products.
