Pleasure Chest

Overview: Almost everyone told me that rabbits are the way to go with sex toys and so I was looking around for one that actually worked for me - most didn't. The iVibe was in the Lovehoney sale at a really great price, I thought as it was expensive it should be a good one.

The iVibe arrived in plastic packaging consisting of a plastic wallet and outer plastic sleeve. The outer plastic sleeve keeps it all together but it also makes it very hard to get into, I was wrestling with it for best part of 5 minutes before I gave up and hacked it with scissors.

The iVibe is a typically phallic shaped rabbit, the shaft is in the shape of a penis with a detailed head. Inside the shaft is lots of small beads which rotate when the rabbit is on. The clitoral stimulator is in the shape of a typical rabbit which ears vibrate quickly and stimulate the clitoris. The colour I got is purple, it is a really nice purple with a slightly see-through finish with small amounts of tasteful glitter. The material is skin safe rubber and it has little or no odour so you can tell it's a good quality.

The battery compartment is in the base of the rabbit, the batteries are fiddly to get in and out which is frustrating. The controls are also located here, on first glance they look very complicate with so many buttons, switches and options. However, soon you will easily find what all the controls do and you can change it without having to think about it. Though as the controls are close together sometimes you can press the wrong button pretty easily, which is quite off putting if you are on the last setting and it turns off.

The power is pretty good as you would expect with a rabbit that is run on 4 x AA, however it isn't the most powerful. It can be very annoying having to find 4 x AA, that is a lot of batteries and then you have to store them whilst the rabbit is not in use. You shouldn't keep your batteries inside your vibrator when it is not in use.

Red version

The beads aren't particularly pleasurable and they are very loud. You can easily hear them through the house, certainly not good if you live with others or have thin walls. The shaft doesn't hit your g-spot at all and to be honest does nothing for me apart from the noise putting me off. The rabbit clitoral stimulator is much better and one of the best features of this rabbit. However, as it is pretty powerful it can make your clitoris very sensitive very quickly as it is direct contact on that only. I preferred to move the rabbit up a little so the nose was stimulating rather than the ears.

For a rabbit that runs on so many batteries it doesn't actually use that much juice, I was pleasantly surprised at this. I got roughly 4 sessions of 20 minute use, not bad at all. Though my thoughts are when you get to needing 4 x AA batteries then why not make it rechargeable? For rrp of £55 it should be!
The rabbit is waterproof which makes cleaning easier, simply wash with lukewarm water and mild soap then pat dry. This also enables you to have fun in the bath, shower, jacuzzi etc, wherever there is water.

Conclusion: You see the famous rabbit every where you look from Sex in the City to the famous Jessica Rabbit herself. This rabbit is certainly good quality with some pretty good features, however it just simply didn't work for me. As rabbits are generally two rigid parts then they are very user specific, some love them for others it doesn't really do that much. Don't automatically think that if you don't get on with rabbits then you are either weird or doing something wrong, you aren't. There are so many other toys out there that are just as pleasurable as rabbits.
